High Capacity Scheduling

High capacity scheduling allows for a facility to increase the number of patients they can queue per hour. A facility can increase to 20, 30, or 60 slots an hour partitioned various ways between online and walk-in.

A quick guide on setting the High Capacity parameters

High Capacity Scheduling is controlled by two settings: Maximum # of Slots per Hour and % of Slots Available for Online Scheduling. The Maximum # of Slots per Hour determines how many overall slots will be available per hour while % of Slots Available for Online Scheduling determines how many of those slots will be for online scheduling.

Parameters:

  • Maximum # of Slots per Hour - <20, 30, or 60> slots per hour.
  • % of Slots Available for Online Scheduling - <0%, 20%, 50%, and 100%> percent of total slots dedicated to online scheduling

Examples:

  • If you set the max # of slots to 20 and the % slot of online scheduling to 50%, then 10 slots each hour will be available for online scheduling. The system will automatically allocate every other slot, starting on the hour (9:00 will be both online and walkin, 9:03 will be walkin-in only, 9:06 both, 9:09 walkin-in only, etc).
  • Set % of Slots Available for Online Scheduling to 0% if you want only walkin-in patients. Set it to 100% if you want only online reservations.
