What is a Conversion?

  • Conversions are simply measurable events based on people taking the desired action.
  • In the context
of digital marketing for Save my Spot, a conversion is a reservation form
    submission.
  • Once you start a digital marketing campaign, implement conversion tracking, provided by ER
Express, to more precisely determine your ROI.
  • Once in place, you can measure the effectiveness of your health system’s marketing efforts by directly tracking traffic from different sources, such as Facebook or Google AdWords campaigns.

How it Works

  • ER Express can run an almost unlimited number of Javascript in the reservation iFrame.
  • These scripts measure the number of ”attempts” (the total volume of people landing on the reservation form) and the number of conversions (the actual number of reservations).
  • Dividing the number of conversions by the number of attempts equates to the conversion rate.
  • This data will automatically show up in your digital marketing platform.

What conversion pixels does ER Express Support?

ER Express supports the following pixels (we have run scripts for other health systems and
can put these tracking pixels directly into production):

  • Traffic analytics
    • Google Universal Analytics
    • Sitecore
  • Pay-per-click campaigns
    • Facebook ad campaign
    • Google AdWords campaign
    • Unique campaign landing pages (can be on or off the health system’s domain)
  • Floodlight Tags

Note: Giving ER Express your tracking pixel does NOT give ER Express access to your
marketing platform account. In other words, giving ER Express your Facebook pixel does
not allow ER Express to log in to your Facebook account.
