Custom Text Messaging Templates

Our application allows for facilities to create 12 unique text messaging templates that staff can send to a patient when additional action or information is required.

Below you will find a list of examples to help you start thinking about what would be most useful to your clinic. These are merely examples and can be edited in any way you see fit.

Text Messaging Template Examples:

Example 1

Registration Reminder

"Hello, we noticed you signed in but have not completed your registration forms. Please complete the history and consent information via the link here: {INTAKE_SHORTLINK}  Otherwise, you may reply "9" to remove yourself from the queue if you no longer want your pet to be assessed.  Please reply if you need assistance. If you do not reply or complete registration in the next hour, your sign-in will become inactive."

Example 2

Paperwork Received/Registration Complete

"This is confirmation that we have received your information and {FIRST_NAME}'s registration is complete!  We will be reaching out to you regarding the next steps.

As an ER and Intensive Care hospital, we do not see pets in order of arrival.  We must see patients based on the severity of their condition, starting with animals who are experiencing life-threatening illnesses or injuries. Animals who are NOT experiencing life-threating conditions are considered “stable” and will typically wait longer. Wait times can range from a couple of hours to more than 12 hours. Examples of stable conditions are minor injuries, sore ears, and skin conditions.

If your pet’s condition changes during your wait time, please let us know immediately."

Example 3

CareCredit/Scratch Pay

"At {HOSPITAL_NAME}, we accept both Care Credit and Scratchpay as alternate forms of payment. Care Credit is a medical credit card, accepted at many veterinary practices whereas Scratchpay is a direct loan specifically for your veterinary services today. You can apply for either or both. The amount you request does NOT impact your chances of approval but CAN impact the amount money for which you are approved. If you are approved for more money than you need, there is no penalty for not using it all. Links for both sites are included below:

Both applications can be done in less than 10 min, should you have any questions, please reply to this text."

Example 4

Status Update for Discharge

"{FIRST_NAME} is nearly finished with treatments, but we are not quite ready for you to pick up. The doctor is working on instructions to help you continue your pet’s care at home. One of our team members will call you soon to go over these instructions and to set a time for pick up. Please make sure your phone’s ringer is on and you are available! You might receive an emailed copy of the home-care instructions before receiving our call. Please review the instructions and identify any questions you may have."

Example 5

Ready for Pickup

"{FIRST_NAME} is ready to go home! Please make your way to {HOSPITAL_NAME}, to complete the final steps in the discharge process. Please bring anything that you will need to safely transport your pet back home, including leashes, collars, and/or carriers. If you have any personal belongings here, please make sure we have returned those to you. Please reply to this message with your ETA to confirm you are on your way. Thanks!"

Example 6

"Thank you for choosing {HOSPITAL_NAME}, for {FIRST_NAME}'s care. We are currently experiencing a high volume of critical cases. Our medical team has determined that your pet is eligible to be dropped off and monitored until a doctor is available. Due to a significant increase in the number of animals needing veterinary care, wait times for less critical patients may be many hours, but you and your pet are important to us, and we are working our hardest to treat {FIRST_NAME} as quickly as possible. Please fill out this form {FORM_LINK} that authorizes DROP OFF treatment for {FIRST_NAME}. After you complete the form, please respond to the text confirming that it has been submitted. A doctor will be calling you after they have performed their examination to discuss a plan for testing and treatment. "

If you prefer to wait in the comfort of your own home during this extended wait, please reply HOME, and we will text you when it is time to return to the hospital. "Thank you for signing {FIRST_NAME} in to be seen at {HOSPITAL_NAME}. Based on the information and symptoms you provided during the sign-in process, we ask that you bring {PATIENT_NAME} to the hospital for an on-site assessment with a Triage Nurse now. Please reply to this message with your ETA to confirm you are on your way.

If {FIRST_NAME}’s medical state is assessed as stable, your pet may be eligible for DROP OFF or you may be able to wait in the comfort of your home until our medical team is ready for a full examination and doctor consultation.

"Thank you for your patience. {FIRST_NAME} is next on the waitlist. Please reply to this message with your ETA to confirm you are on your way.

Make your way to the hospital, and when you arrive, let the front desk know that you have been recalled from the waitlist. We will be treating your pet as active emergencies allow, and most stable recalled patients wait an average of two hours prior to their exam. Thank you for understanding."
