How to use the Patient Queue Filter

The Patient Queue Filter is a powerful tool that enables you to quickly search and sort through patients in your facility's queue.

This article consists of two sections -- the first is a short and simple "How-to" section and the second elaborates on the total functionality of the filter.

Projected Treatment Time

Filter patients based on their projected treatment time:
   - Morning (Open - 11:50 AM)
   - Afternoon (12:00 PM - 4:59 PM)
   - Evening (5:00 PM - Close)
Filtering patients based on their projected treatment time is a great way to declutter your patient queue to focus on patients that are being treated in the more immediate future.

Arrival Time

Filter patients based on their arrival time:
   - Morning (Open - 11:50 AM)
   - Afternoon (12:00 PM - 4:59 PM)
   - Evening (5:00 PM - Close)

Filtering patients based on their arrival time is a great way to focus on patients that you know are at the facility already and may require more immediate attention than patients that have yet to arrive.

Note: This is a very similar setting to projected treatment time, however, sorting by arrival time does not include online or passport patients that are yet to arrive, whereas projected treatment time includes all patients, whether they have arrived or not.

Visit Type

Filter patients based on visit type.
Visit type is a customizable feature that usually differs between facilities depending on settings. Your facility may not use visit types.

Conditional "And" "Or" Logic
mceclip3.png

Use the conditional "and" "or" logic to filter patients based on two or more parameters. Use the "or" for inclusive logic, and the "and" for exclusive logic

For instance, if the toggle is on "or" and you choose the statuses Walkin-only and Flagged, then it will show all patients that are walk-in patients OR patients with a flag. In other words, an online patient who has been flagged will show up, as well as a walk-in patient who has not been flagged. The patient can meet either of the criteria and be shown.
If the toggle is on "and" and you choose the statuses Walkin-only and Flagged, then it will show all patients that are walk-in patients AND have a flag. The patient must meet BOTH of the criteria to be shown.
